166 years of innovation and success

Founded in 1849, Yalumba is proudly Australia’s oldest family owned winery, based in Australia’s most famous wine region – The Barossa, with people and assets spread across the globe. Yalumba is a producer of distinctive wines of great character and provenance, marketed in Australia and internationally, as well as being a distributor with a portfolio of carefully selected fine wines, spirits and beers.

In 2016, we worked closely with the Yalumba People Department to create a new online introduction for all new people coming into the Yalumba family, here and across the world. We spent time together to examine how we could showcase the rich history built by the Hill-Smith family over 5 generations and highlight the attributes that keep the business fresh in it’s thinking.

Video was shot in 4K and HD throughout the Barossa region and artwork designed for the interactive interface. This was supported by Photography supplied by Yalumba and artwork and motion graphics created for the project The result is a seamless presentation that features great vision and a range of statements from key people across the business. The completed work forms a key part of new inductions and reflects the character and integrity Yalumba is known for.

Interactive design was created using Storyline 2 by Kate Foster and tech guru Drew supported Kate with the back end work. Audio was mixed by Neville Clark at Disk Edits for a great result.

I am very proud to have had the opportunity to work with Yalumba and always enjoy visiting to do the odd tasting and see the garden change over the seasons. Special thanks to Jo and Nick in YPD for their unwavering support throughout and to all the staff and the Hill-Smith family for their involvement.

We partnered with Jon to develop an orientation video that would welcome new employees to Yalumba. Jon quickly got inside our culture, understood our values and aspirations and delivered an elegant and striking video that met the brief exactly.

….  I think he secretly believes he’s one of us.
